Teni Odetoyinbo is a member of the 2025–2026 Articling Student class at Cassels. She recently earned her Juris Doctor from the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at Toronto Metropolitan University and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University, graduating with Distinction.
Teni is a dynamic leader with a strong commitment to community, advocacy, and excellence. During law school, she served as President of the Black Law Students’ Association (BLSA) at Lincoln, where she championed initiatives to support Black law students and promote inclusive legal education. She also held roles as Events Director in her first year and Mentorship Director in her final year.
Beyond law school, Teni continues to lead and serve. She sits on the Lincoln Alexander School of Law Alumni Advisory Board, contributing to the growth and development of Canada’s newest law school. She also lends her governance expertise as a member of the Governance Committee for Athletics Ontario and works part-time as a track and field official. Prior to law school, Teni was a student-athlete at York University, where she captained the Women’s Varsity Soccer Team and played for four seasons from 2017 to 2020. Her leadership on and off the field reflects her collaborative spirit and drive for excellence.
Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, Teni enjoys solving puzzles, creating fashion and hair content, and reading.
