Stephanie Kay is a member of the 2024-2025 Articling Student class at Cassels and previously summered with the firm. She holds dual Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Law degrees from McGill University’s Faculty of Law. At law school, Stephanie volunteered as a senior caseworker at the Legal Information Clinic at McGill and completed a student clerkship at the Tribunal administratif du Québec. She was also involved as president of McGill OutLaw and as a research assistant in privacy, technology and A.I. at the Faculty.
Prior to law school, Stephanie graduated summa cum laude from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours). Throughout her undergraduate degree, Stephanie was involved in student advocacy, clinical research in paediatrics and varsity athletics as a synchronized swimmer. She has previous work experience managing communications at a healthcare research institute as well as researching and creating employee-facing policies at a global technology company.
In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys karaoke, canoeing, musical theatre and trying new cafes.
