Sharon Kirshenblatt is an independent consultant to Cassels, providing specialized expertise in banking and regulatory matters to the Cassels Banking & Specialty Finance Group. Prior to providing consulting services to Cassels, she spent many years as in-house counsel at a large Canadian bank.
Sharon has led teams advising senior leaders on regulatory issues relating to mortgage, loan, and credit card agreements for consumer and business clients, and on emerging areas of payments law. Sharon has also successfully led the legal work to migrate and integrate client personal lending and mortgage products through the amalgamation of two Canadian financial institutions, ensuring continuity, regulatory and legal compliance. In addition, she offers extensive experience drafting client-facing credit agreements and disclosures.
