Rider Kahl (he/him/his) is an associate in the Real Estate and Development group at Cassels. Prior to joining Cassels as an associate, Rider was both a summer and articling student with the firm.
Rider received his JD with distinction from the University of Alberta, where he was awarded the Dr. Alexander Smith QC Prize in the Subject of Contracts, the Adams Trust Oil & Gas Prize, and the Honourable Constantine Kosowan Award. During law school, Rider was the Executive Creative Director for Law Show, an annual musical performance to raise money for local charities. He was also elected Vice President- Academics for the Law Students Association.
Prior to law school, he received an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Western University in sociology and criminology, and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Calgary.
