Olamide Agbontafara

Olamide Agbontafara is a member of the 2026–2027 Articling Student class at Cassels. Olamide is an internationally trained lawyer who previously practised corporate and commercial law in Nigeria. She holds a Master of Laws (LLM.) in International Business Law from Osgoode Hall Law School, where she received an Award of Excellence.

Prior to joining Cassels, Olamide gained experience advising multinational corporations, startups, and small businesses on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, with a focus on banking and finance, financial technology, and general corporate advisory. Her work included supporting multi-jurisdictional transactions, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, coordinating due diligence processes, and advising on regulatory compliance. She also gained in-house experience with a Canadian transit technology company, where she supported legal and business operations in a regulated, public-facing industry.

Outside of work, Olamide enjoys exploring new restaurants, experimenting with new recipes, staying active, and capturing food and everyday moments through photography.
