Misha Apel (she/her/hers) is an associate in the Business Law Group at Cassels. Misha graduated with her JD from Western Law in June 2023. Prior to joining Cassels as an associate, Misha was both a summer and articling student with the firm.
While in law school Misha was President of the Jewish Law Students’ Association, Co-founder of the Students for Truth and Reconciliation Committee, an intern at the Dispute Resolution Centre, a researcher for a UN Women project on Legislative Reform and an Orientation Week Chair.
In her first year of law school, Misha worked at the City of Hamilton as a Law and Policy Analyst in the Licensing and By-Law Services division. Before law school Misha deferred her acceptance to Western Law to partake in the Ontario Legislature Internship Programme where she worked in a non-partisan capacity with members of provincial parliament.
Misha enjoys exploring parks with her dog, trying new yoga classes, and catching up on the latest TV shows in her spare time.
