Kristen Lai serves as Compliance Counsel & Chief Privacy Officer in the Office of the General Counsel at Cassels. In this role, Kristin ensures that the firm operates with integrity and works to protect against legal risk. She also works with the firm’s procurement teams to draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements on behalf of Cassels. In addition, Kristen is involved with the firm’s information security risk management process and develops policies, procedures, and documentation for effective information security implementation and management. She holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
Kristen is also a member of the firm’s Litigation Group, where she practices information governance and e-Discovery law. In this role, she provides trial and regulatory support to clients in preparation for litigation, conducts technological training, and manages internal and external review projects.
