Jasman (Jas) Gill

Jas Gill (he/him/his) is a member of the 2023-2024 Articling Student class at Cassels and previously summered with the firm. Jas has recently completed his J.D. program at the University of Toronto. At law school, Jas served as a Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Indigenous Law Journal during his last two years. He also championed the Emerging Practices Law Society in his last year.

Prior to law school, Jas graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (specializing in Accounting) from the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University. He received The Burton R. James Memorial Prize upon graduation for ranking first in his class.

Jas also gained multiple experiences in the banking industry throughout his undergrad. On the corporate banking side, he served as a Financial Consulting Analyst at a US financial institution in Toronto. He assisted the Finance team in preparing and analyzing various Canadian and US financial statements in his role. On the retail banking side, he served as a part-time Teller at a Canadian financial institution.

In his spare time, Jas enjoys playing in his basketball league and supporting both the Toronto Raptors and the Los Angeles Lakers.
