Jacqueline (Jackie) Gerson (she/her/hers) is a member of the 2025-2026 Articling Student class at Cassels. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa, graduating Cum Laude.
During law school, Jackie was actively involved in student life and leadership. As Co-President of the Jewish Law Students’ Association, she organized a range of events and initiatives and advocated for the needs of Jewish students on campus. Through Pro Bono Students Canada, she volunteered with the Ottawa Mission’s ID Clinic, helping vulnerable individuals obtain essential identification documents. She also contributed legal analysis to LEAF Canada’s Reproductive Justice Project.
Jackie’s work experience includes an internship at a litigation boutique in Toronto, where she assisted with construction, commercial, real estate, and insurance law matters. She also worked as a research assistant at a land surveying firm. Prior to joining Cassels as an articling student, Jackie was a summer student with the firm.
Outside of work, Jackie enjoys spending time with her family at their cottage, exploring new restaurants around Toronto, and rewatching her favourite romantic comedies.
