Darren Kendal (he/him) is a member of the 2024-2025 Articling Student class at Cassels and previously summered with the firm. He holds a dual J.D./H.B.A. degree from the Faculty of Law and the Ivey Business School at Western University.
Before joining Cassels, Darren played a key role in the launch of one of Toronto’s first five retail cannabis stores. He also brings a strong background in Ontario’s internet gaming market, having conducted in-depth research into the gaming industry during his law studies and operated a business that developed predictive sports betting models.
Darren has a passion for travel, having explored Europe, Southeast Asia, and Canada’s east coast. He is also dedicated to mental health advocacy, having delivered speeches to high school students in York Region throughout his university years.
