Summer Law Student

 | Toronto

Clark Wang (he/him/his) is a member of the 2025 Summer Student class at Cassels, and a Juris Doctor (JD) candidate at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law, Common Law Section.

Brining over a decade of experience in assurance and financial analysis, Clark hopes to offer a distinctive perspective shaped by his financial background. Before law school, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting with High Distinction from the University of Toronto and built a career as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), specializing in financial analysis, client-focused problem-solving, and tax.

Driven by an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for crafting strategic solutions to business challenges, Clark transitioned to law to broaden his impact. At the University of Ottawa, he volunteered as an Assistant Editor for the Ottawa Law Review and competed in the Donald G.H. Bowman National Tax Moot, where he and his partner advanced to the semifinals as Runner-Up Respondent Team.

Eager to bridge theory with practice, Clark looks forward to gaining hands-on legal practical experience while collaborating with exceptional professionals and colleagues.

Outside professional pursuits, Clark enjoys watching football, basketball, and Formula One, and cherishes quality time with his family.
