Caitlyn Alegbe (she/her) is a member of the 2026-2027 Articling Student class at Cassels. She completed her Juris Doctor at Lincoln Alexander School of Law, where she developed a strong foundation in legal research, writing, and analysis. During her legal studies, Caitlyn gained practical legal experience as a summer law student at Cassels, where she supported matters across multiple practice areas, and through the Debwewin Summer Law Student Program with Grand Council Treaty #3, where she strengthened her skills in legal research and written analysis.
Caitlyn has also demonstrated strong leadership and organizational skills through her involvement with the Black Law Students’ Association. She served as National Director of Communications for the Black Law Students’ Association of Canada, where she collaborated with national leadership, corporate partners, and external stakeholders to support the organization’s initiatives. She previously served as Co-President of BLSA Lincoln, contributing to professional development initiatives and programming for law students.
Prior to law school, Caitlyn earned a Summa Cum Laude Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from McMaster University, with a specialization in Public Law and Judicial Studies. Her academic and professional experiences have shaped her interest in working with clients on complex legal matters and developing practical, business-oriented solutions.
Outside of her legal practice, Caitlyn enjoys baking French pastries, reading fantasy novels, and taking pictures of her dog, Cupid.
