Annie Chang

Summer Law Student

Annie Chang (she/her/hers) is a member of the 2025 Summer Student Class at Cassels. She attends the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, Annie obtained a Bachelors in International Economics with Distinction at the University of British Columbia, where she focused on trade and environmental economics. At the University of British Columbia, Annie was Editor-in-Chief of the economics journal. Prior to law school, Annie worked as a trade and customs consultant at a major accounting firm, advising on trade compliance and tariff classification; she also worked as a political and economic intern at the U.S. Consulate General in Vancouver, reporting on trade and clean technology.

At the University of Toronto, Annie served as a Caseworker at Downtown Legal Services, where she assisted low-income residents with family law disputes. During law school, Annie was involved as an oralist in the Cassels Brock Cup, a researcher in the International Human Rights Program, and as an Associate Editor in the Journal of Law and Equity. Annie is an active member of the Korean Law Students Association, where she organizes outreach with the alumni and fosters inclusion within the Korean community.

In her spare time, Annie enjoys attending Pilates classes around the city, watercolour painting, and practicing hygge, the Danish art of coziness.
