Andrea Tomko

Andrea Tomko (she/her/hers) is a member of the 2024 Summer Student class as Cassels. She is an incoming third year JD student at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University.

At the Schulich School of Law she is the incoming president of the Domus Legis Society, Canada’s oldest student-run social society for law students, where she previously served as Vice President Social and as a 1L representative. Andrea also volunteered at the Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia through Pro-Bono Dalhousie and serves as an upper year buddy to first year students.

Prior to law school, Andrea completed both an Honours Bachelor of Science in Medical Sciences and a Master of Science in Pharmacology at Dalhousie University. Her master’s research focused on investigating the anti-cancer of effects of compounds found in plants with a specific focus on breast cancer. Since 2018, Andrea has been a teaching assistant for an introductory course in the Biology Department.

In her spare time Andrea enjoys trying new recipes, checking out new workout classes, and spending time with friends and family.
