On February 25, 2019, Wendy Berman testified before the Justice Committee of the House of Commons on Deferred Prosecution Agreements (or, DPAs) – remediation agreements entered into between a prosecutor and a company alleged to have engaged in economic crimes.
Wendy explained the role of remediation agreements, noting they can take several years and are meant to prevent situations where companies might “wither away” and cause collateral damage.
