Kwaku Tabi and Tristan Davis recently represented Cassels at the annual Black Law Students’ Association of Canada’s National Conference in Ottawa.
This year, the conference featured the theme “Pushing Excellence to Higher Heights” and included a guided tour of the Supreme Court of Canada, career fair, and a resume and cover letter workshop alongside valuable panel discussions on various areas of the law and how to utilize and tailor a law degree. Kwaku was part of a panel called “Brother to Brother” where he spoke about his practice and personal experiences in the profession and explored the professional and ethical issues unique to black male lawyers and students entering the profession.
The Black Law Students’ Association of Canada is a national student-run non-profit organization founded in 1991. They are committed to supporting and enhancing academic and professional opportunities for black law students in both official languages.
