Jonathan Fleisher Elected to American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers’ Board of Regents

Jonathan Fleisher has been elected to the Board of Regents of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers (ACCFL). He is the sole Canadian elected to this year’s class of Regents.

Jonathan is a partner in the Financial Services Group at Cassels Brock, where his practice focuses on the commercial finance industry with a particular emphasis on innovative cross-border transactions and equipment and asset finance. He has been recognized as a leading lawyer by the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and Best Lawyers and offers particular expertise assisting public and private US commercial finance companies with both establishing operations in Canada and purchasing and selling finance and lease companies, providing both legal and practical business advice. He has just co-authored the book, Equipment Financing in Canada, published by LexisNexis.

The ACCFL is a professional organization dedicated to promoting the field of commercial finance law through education, legislative reform and the recognition of distinguished practitioners, jurists and academics and offers a venue to promote and recognize outstanding achievement and advances in the field of commercial finance law. Founded over 25 years ago, the ACCFL has inducted more than 300 preeminent commercial finance practitioners and scholars.

The newest class of Regents were announced at the ACCFL’s Annual Meeting in Vancouver, BC. Jonathan will serve a four-year term expiring in 2023.
