Davit Akman has co-authored an article titled “International Perspectives on Privacy & Competition Law,” published by the American Bar Association’s Business Law Today.

Write the authors: “The collection and use of data by digitally-focused businesses can create different competition issues depending on the type of data in question and the relevance of data to the practice under scrutiny. Where the data in question relates to personal information, particular questions arise surrounding the interplay among privacy, data protection, and competition law. The global trend in the data-driven digital economy is moving toward greater privacy and data protection rules.”
