Daniel B. Jolic Receives CCCL’s J. Stephen Tatrallyay Memorial Award

Cassels is proud to announce that summer student Daniel B. Jolic was named this year’s recipient of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers’ J. Stephen Tatrallyay Memorial Award for his paper on a construction law topic.

His paper, titled “Bridging the Gap: An Overview of the Construction Law Framework for Building First Nations Infrastructure and the Pathway to Improving It” has been published in the 2024 edition of the Journal of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers, and is available on WestLaw under the citation: 2024 J. Can. C. Construction Law. 89.

In recognition of his achievement, Daniel was invited to attend this year’s Annual Meeting of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers, which was held on May 23-25, 2024, in Montreal, Quebec. As part of the 2024 Annual Meeting, founding fellow, the Right Honourable Richard Wagner, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada, was keynote speaker and Cassels partner Matthew Alter served as moderator of a panel discussion on the Use of Expert Witnesses in Construction Arbitration and Litigation.
