The Cassels Project Exit team – represented by Kristin Taylor, Noble Chummar, Carla Potter, and Ardy Mohajer – received the President’s Award at last night’s OBA Awards Gala. The President’s Award honours significant contributions to the advancement of justice in Ontario.
Project Exit is the firm’s commitment to assist vulnerable Afghans re-start their lives and find refuge, peace, and security in Canada. This included spearheading a letter-writing campaign in support of legal professionals whose work for the Canadian government and military put them in jeopardy. We are proud of the way that individuals across Cassels – and the Canadian legal community at large – have rallied to support these important efforts, including in an open letter calling for urgent action on the ongoing crisis in Afghanistan.
