Phil Shaer (Chief Legal Officer at Canopy Growth Corporation), was declared a winner at this year’s prestigious Canadian General Counsel Awards in the category of “Deal Making.” He was also named a finalist for General Counsel of the Year. Winners were announced at a gala presentation on June 10, 2019, at the Fairmont Royal York in downtown Toronto.
The CGCAs are Canada’s only national programme to exclusively recognize excellence in the in-house counsel community. Deal Makers are judged on their creativity, broad technical excellence and having the dexterity necessary to get complex deals successfully completed.
