Selina Mamo (she/her/hers) is the Director of Professional Resources – National Recruitment at Cassels. She oversees the firm’s Toronto student program, plays a key role in student recruitment initiatives nationally, and manages lateral lawyer recruitment across the firm.  Selina works closely with firm leadership and lawyers across practice groups, to identify, attract, and develop exceptional legal talent. In addition to recruitment, Selina is actively involved in the coaching, mentorship, and professional development of students, supporting them as they navigate key stages of their legal careers. Her work reflects a commitment to building strong talent pipelines and fostering a positive, inclusive, and rewarding experience for both students and lawyers across the firm.

Selina was called to the Ontario bar in 2014 and practiced in both capital markets and commercial litigation before transitioning into legal talent management at a global law firm. She spent several years managing an associate portfolio and advising lawyers at every stage of their careers, including recruitment, onboarding, coaching, mentorship, and professional development.

Selina is an active member of the legal talent community and has contributed to the profession through her involvement with the National Association for Law Placement (NALP), serving on various committees throughout her career. She has also shared her expertise as a speaker at NALP’s 2026 Annual Education Conference, where she presented on the development and implementation of an innovative national mentorship program she led at her previous firm.
