Sofi Katsovskaia is an associate in the Business Law Group at Cassels and a member of our Franchise Law team. She first joined the firm as a summer student in 2020 and was a member of the 2021-2022 Articling Student class. Sofi completed her J.D. program at Queen’s University. At law school, she was the Philanthropy Chair of the Queen’s Women and Law Club and a teaching assistant for an undergraduate law course. Prior to joining Cassels, Sofi spent a summer working at a boutique litigation firm in Toronto. She assisted the firm through legal research, drafting pleadings, and shadowing lawyers in client meetings and court appearances.
Prior to studying law, Sofi graduated from Western University with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Criminology. During her undergraduate degree, she was an active volunteer for legal non-profit organizations such as West Coast Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund, Ecojustice, and the Access Pro Bono Society of British Columbia.
