Pasha Mabanza is a member of the 2024-2025 Articling Student class at Cassels and previously summered with the firm. He obtained his JD from Osgoode Hall Law School.
During his time at Osgoode, Pasha was an active member of the law school community taking on several volunteer positions including President of the Osgoode Black Law Students’ Association and President and Co-founder of the Osgoode International Law Society. Pasha also took part in a number of placements including Osgoode’s International and Transnational Law Intensive Program as well as an internship on the Global Sanctions team at a major Canadian bank. Throughout his time at law school Pasha received a number of accolades including the prestigious Dean’s Gold Key and the Honourable N. W. Rowell Prize.
Before attending law school, Pasha received a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management. During his undergraduate degree, Pasha specialized in marketing and did a number of co-op placements at various Departments in the Federal Government.
Pasha enjoys binge watching Netflix originals and watching sports in his free time. He also enjoys giving back to his community through a number of non-profit initiatives.
