Manisha Gill

Summer Law Student

Manisha Gill (she/her/hers) is a member of the 2022 summer student class at Cassels. She recently completed her second year of the J.D. program at Thompson Rivers University. During her time at law school, Manisha has been an active member of her student community. She has been the Co-President/Co-Founder of the TRU Mental Health and Law Club, the Treasurer/Co-President of the South Asian Law Students Association (SALSA), the Chair of Programming for the TRU Society of Law Students Conference, and an Orientation Committee Member. As well, she was awarded the Dean’s Course Prize in her first year for achieving the highest standing in the Legal Perspectives course.

Prior to law school, Manisha graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with distinction from the University of the Fraser Valley. While obtaining her undergraduate degree, Manisha worked as a legal administrative assistant which increased her interest in practicing law as she gained exposure to different areas of the law.

In her spare time, Manisha likes to spend her time trying different types of food, travelling, and binging some Netflix shows when she can.
