On May 1, 2022, Sandstorm Gold Ltd. entered into an amended and restated letter of intent with Royalty North Partners Ltd. (to be renamed Horizon Copper) whereby Sandstorm will sell to Horizon Copper its 30% interest in the Hod Maden copper-gold project in Artvin, Turkey, the 1.66% net profits interest royalty on the Antamina copper-zinc mine in Lima, Peru to be acquired from BaseCore Metals LP and its approximate 25% equity interest in Entrée Resources Ltd., positioning Horizon Copper as a competitive copper company with a portfolio of high-quality cash-flowing and development stage copper assets. Sandstorm will own approximately 34% of Horizon Copper and retain a gold stream on Hod Maden and a silver stream on Antamina.
