On December 15, 2021, Restaurant Brands International Inc. closed its acquisition of Firehouse Restaurant Group Inc. for $1 billion, including its networks of franchised restaurants in the United States, Mexico and Canada. With the close of the acquisition, RBI adds Firehouse Subs to its existing family of quick service restaurant brands, Tim Hortons, Burger King and Popeyes.
