On April 9, 2025, BluEnergies Ltd. (formerly Acme Gold Company Limited) successfully completed a reverse takeover involving its wholly-owned subsidiary and Canadian Global Energy Corp., a private oil and gas company. The transaction was structured as a three-cornered amalgamation under the Business Corporations Act (British Columbia).
BluEnergies is an international oil and gas exploration and development company, with a strategic focus on offshore operations in the Republic of Liberia.
In connection with the transaction, Acme completed a non-brokered private placement of subscription receipts, raising gross proceeds of approximately $3.2 million. BluEnergies common shares are listed and trading on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol “BLU”.
Cassels acted for Canadian Global Energy prior to the amalgamation and represented BluEnergies upon the completion of the reverse takeover.
