Tristan Davis (he/him/his) is an associate in the Banking & Specialty Finance Group at Cassels. Tristan’s practice focuses on corporate and commercial law, representing both lenders and borrowers involved in domestic and cross-border financing transactions and corporate finance matters. Before joining Cassels as an associate, Tristan summered and articled at the firm. Tristan also offers experience with corporate transactions including financings, mergers and acquisitions, and cross-border insolvencies and restructurings.
Tristan graduated from the J.D. program at Osgoode Hall Law School. During law school, Tristan received a Dean’s Gold Key Award for his outstanding contribution to the law school and was also a recipient of the Antonio Di Domenico 05’ Prize for academic excellence and leadership. Tristan also spent four months working for a non-governmental organization in Bangkok, Thailand as the recipient of the Michael Mandel Peace Internship.
Prior to law school, Tristan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Political Studies and Global Development from Queen’s University, where he completed his honours thesis focusing on the impact of international laws and economic regulations in the Caribbean.
