Thea Gaertner is a 2019-2020 articling student at Cassels. She first joined the firm as a summer student in 2018. Thea received her J.D. from the University of Windsor. In her final year at Windsor, Thea spent a semester on exchange at Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK. While obtaining her degree, Thea was an active member in the Windsor Law community, working as Vice President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and as a note taker for Windsor’s Student Disability Services. Thea was also a member of Windsor Law’s Jewish Student’s Association. Thea graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University with a major in International Development and a minor in Religious Studies. Prior to joining Cassels, Thea worked in the not-for-profit sector as an Engagement Coordinator at Free the Children. She also spent time working for the Huffington Post as an Associate Producer on an award-winning investigative journalism project. In her spare time, Thea enjoys travelling and all things fashion. Her most recent trips include France, Italy, and Morocco.
