Ori Abara

Ori Abara is a Land Use Planner in the Municipal, Planning and Environmental Group at Cassels. She assists the Group to prepare and submit various development applications under the Planning Act, conduct research and technical analysis of land use planning policies and regulations, research and write planning reports and opinions, and assist with preparation for hearings before the Ontario Land Tribunal and Toronto Local Appeal Body.

Prior to joining Cassels, Ori worked as a Project Manager at a heritage consulting firm, where she managed applications for heritage approval for various development projects in Toronto and assisted in the preparation of expert witness evidence before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal. Ori also spent four years as a planning consultant in Calgary, where she worked on a diverse portfolio of development and municipal projects across Western Canada.

Ori holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Honours Planning) from the University of Waterloo and is a Registered Professional Planner with the Ontario Professional Planners Institute and a full member of the Canadian Institute of Planners.
