Miriam El Ofir

Miriam El Ofir is an associate in the Business Law and Securities Groups at Cassels. Miriam’s practice focuses on a wide variety of capital market and business law matters, including equity and debt financings, initial public offerings and mergers and acquisitions. Her M&A practice involves various public and private acquisitions, go-private transactions, business combinations, cross border and domestic joint ventures, and go-public transactions. Her corporate finance experience includes public and private equity offerings, venture capital and debt financing transactions.

Miriam has acted for numerous issuers, target companies and underwriters in the cannabis, technology and mining industry with corporate clients ranging from start-ups to multi-billion-dollar companies. Miriam also regularly advises public and private companies on a broad range of corporate governance and securities law matters.

Prior to joining Cassels , Miriam was an associate at a securities boutique law firm on Bay street. She served as the Newsletter Editor for the Young Lawyers Division of the Ontario Bar Association.

While at law school, Miriam was a Student Advisor at Queen Mary University of London’s free Legal Advice Center where she advised clients on a range of legal matters including corporate and intellectual property law.
