John Munnis* is a partner in the Business Law Group at Cassels. An accomplished lawyer, John’s practice focuses primarily on corporate and securities law, including capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and finance transactions. John has represented clients in numerous public and private debt and equity securities offerings, corporate acquisitions, reorganizations, joint ventures, and other corporate and commercial transactions. He also advises on securities regulatory reporting and compliance. John has been recognized as a leader in his field by Best Lawyers in Canada (Mining Law) since 2017.
John is a frequent speaker on transactional and corporate governance matters and international risk management.
From 2006 to 2012 John worked in the London office of a global law firm, where he advised clients on debt and equity financings and was involved in several multi-billion dollar debt restructurings after the onset of the 2008 global financial crisis.
