Rebecca Sim is an associate in the Litigation Group at Cassels. Rebecca offers experience on various types of corporate and commercial litigation matters, including securities and regulatory matters, fraud and enforcement proceedings, and corporate/commercial disputes. Rebecca has appeared in front of the British Columbia Provincial Court, the British Columbia Supreme Court, and the British Columbia Court of Appeal. Prior to joining Cassels as an associate, Rebecca was a summer and articling student at the firm.
Rebecca graduated from the J.D. program at Western University where she was a member of the Dean’s Honour List and a recipient of the Law Society of Upper Canada Prize. During law school, Rebecca was the researcher for Western Law’s Gale Moot Cup team. Rebecca was an active member of her student community as a co-director of the Western Law Peer Support program, a Teaching Assistant for a Legal Research, Writing and Advocacy class, and a volunteer for both Pro Bono Students Canada and the Sport Solution Clinic. Rebecca graduated with a Bachelor of Honours Arts with a major in Legal Studies and a minor in Sociology from the University of Waterloo.
