Mini Bhaskar is a law clerk in the Intellectual Property Group at Cassels, focused on trademarks. With over a decade of experience in the IP field, Mini brings an in-depth knowledge of intellectual property law to Cassels. Specifically, Mini offers a complete understanding of the preparing, filing and prosecution of patent and trademark applications filed within the Canadian Intellectual Office, the United States Patent and Trademark Office as well as PCT international applications and other foreign applications for various foreign countries. For our Intellectual Property Group, Mini manages and dockets the full lifecycle of trademark applications until registration/renewal. In doing so, she utilizes her hands-on experience in data validation, docketing, proofreading, patent and trademark searches and due diligence reports for patent and trademark matters for multiple jurisdictions.
Previously, Mini led a team of legal associates for Intellectual Property Administrative Services, managing the Patent and Trademark portfolios for US, Canada, and EP clients at Thomson Reuters, India. Since moving to Canada, she has worked at both a boutique IP firm and in the IP department of another national law firm. Mini has a Masters of Business Administration – Human Resources.
