Kim Bonnar is the Assistant Director of Professional Resources – Student Programs at Cassels. In this role, Kim is involved in all aspects of the recruitment, training, and performance development of the firm’s summer and articling students. Kim is passionate about career development and enjoys working with students to ensure they achieve their full potential. Kim summered and articled with a large full-service Bay Street law firm. Following her call to the Bar in 2010, she returned to firm’s labour and employment group. In 2012, she took up an exciting new opportunity with her alma mater, Osgoode Hall Law School, to run the Career Development Office and established the first Office of Experiential Education at a Canadian law school. During this time, she focused on the connection between practical experiences, professional development, and the attainment of career objectives.
Kim has been actively involved with the National Association of Legal Professionals (NALP) since 2012. She has served in a number of appointed and elected roles, including, the Canadian Regional Council Representative, Co-Chair of the Canadian Winter Meeting, Member of the OCI Schedule Working Group, Member of the Diversity Working Group, Member of the Recruitment Survey Working Group, and as a Member of the Summer and Articling Working Group. Kim has also completed the NALP Level 1 & 2 Coaching Programs.
