Kieran May

Kieran May is a member of the 2019-2010 articling student class at Cassels. Kieran first joined the firm as a summer student in 2018. Kieran graduated from the J.D. program at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law. He was an active member of the University of Toronto Law community. He volunteered as a mock trial coach and tutor with the Law in Action Within Schools program. During law school, Kieran also conducted research for the Canadian Environmental Law Association on asbestos disposal and hazardous waste legislation. During 3L, Kieran also completed a semester on exchange at the University of Geneva, Faculty of Law. Kieran graduated with distinction from Western University, obtaining a Bachelor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, with an option in International Development. While at Western, Kieran conducted research on innovative methods for the safe disposal of human waste in developing countries. He also organized events for Engineers Without Borders, including dropping a 1200 pound pumpkin from a crane in the middle of campus in order to raise awareness for the club’s poverty relief initiatives.

In his spare time Kieran enjoys playing a variety of sports, from ultimate Frisbee to hockey. He also loves to ski, hike, and read.
