Jackie Karbi is a 2019-2020 articling student at Cassels. She first joined the firm as a summer student in 2018. Jackie graduated as a dual degree student from Western Law and the Ivey Business School, earning her J.D. and Honours Business Administration. In her final academic year, Jackie graduated with distinction from Ivey, and was awarded the STEP Canada Award in Trusts for her academic achievement in her Trusts course. Jackie was awarded for her academic excellence in each year of her studies, with such honours as the HBA Chris Bruyere and Joanne Fleming Memorial Scholarship and the Catalyst Capital Entrance Scholarship. During her time at Western and Ivey, Jackie was actively involved in her school community. Passionate about mental health and wellness, she volunteered as a Peer Supporter with Ivey’s holistic health network, the myHBA, and Western Law’s Wellness Committee. Jackie also enjoyed mentoring first-year students as a Social Science Soph and Ivey Guru.

In her free time, Jackie enjoys watching reality TV shows, baking cookies, and collecting novelty socks.
