Heesoo Kim is an associate in the Business Law Group at Cassels. Heesoo’s practice focuses on public and private mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, and general corporate and securities law matters. Before joining Cassels as an associate, she was both a summer and articling student at the firm. During law school, Heesoo worked as a student caseworker in the Criminal Law Division at Downtown Legal Services where she assisted clients with their criminal law matters and provided legal representation.
Heesoo received her J.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. She worked as a research assistant for Professor Trudo Lemmens, the Scholl Chair in Health Law and Policy at the University of Toronto, from her first year summer until graduation. In the fall of 2017, Heesoo spent a semester abroad at the University of Amsterdam where she took international business law courses.
