Evan Low* is a partner in the Business Law Group at Cassels. Evan provides a broad range of business legal advice, including advice regarding corporate organization of emerging companies, private and public Canadian and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, financings and corporate restructuring transactions. He assists clients in a number of sectors, including technology, cannabis, oil and gas, real estate and private equity. Evan offers extensive experience representing both issuers and underwriters in public offerings, private placements, take-over bids and plans of arrangement. He also offers experience in both asset and share purchase and sale transactions, equity compensation arrangements and shareholder agreements.
Evan has acted as corporate secretary for both TSX and TSX-V listed companies and regularly advises boards and senior executives on compliance matters respecting securities legislation, stock exchange rules and corporate governance.
Evan gained valuable business understanding while working as in-house counsel at a multi-national, privately-owned real estate investment and development group. He is conversant in French.
