Evan Low is a partner in the Business Law Group at Cassels. Evan provides legal advice regarding Canadian and international securities offerings, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. He assists clients across a broad range of sectors, including real estate, oil and gas exploration and development, oilfield services, mining, construction, agriculture and technology. Evan offers extensive experience representing both agents and underwriters in financings and initial public offerings, as well as issuers in brokered and non-brokered private placements, public offerings, take-over bids and plans of arrangements. He also offers experience in both asset and share purchase and sale transactions and regularly advises on compliance matters respecting securities legislation, stock exchange rules and corporate governance.
Evan has acted as corporate secretary for both TSX and TSX-V listed companies, advising on various matters including the preparation and filing of public disclosure documentation. He has also advised boards and senior executives on compliance matters respecting securities and corporate legislation.
Evan gained valuable business understanding while working as in-house counsel at a multi-national, privately-owned real estate investment and development group. He is conversant in French.
