Alvin Hui is a law clerk in the Litigation Group at Cassels. Alvin’s role involves all forms of litigation support, including preparing affidavits of documents, assisting with examinations for discovery and mediation, drafting routine court materials including pleadings and motions, drafting enforcement materials, and preparing costs outlines and bills of costs. Alvin offers particular experience with court processes, the Rules of Civil Procedure, and the Construction Act. With over eight years of experience supporting litigation lawyers, including hands-on support to our Construction Group since 2014, Alvin brings strong experience, knowledge, and dedication to his role as a law clerk.
Alvin is a graduate of McMaster University with a B.A. in Economics and of Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology with a Law Clerk Diploma, High Honours. Alvin also obtained his Masters in Criminal Justice from Boston University. Prior to joining Cassels, Alvin worked at a medium-sized Toronto law firm, assisting the commercial litigation department.
